In this lesson I cover the connection between colours and our emotions. When we delve into the source of our creativity we start to notice how colours evoke a particular feeling and emotion. Together we will explore how the colours you choose intuitively in your art can be connected to how you are feeling at that time. Interestingly those same colours when others look at your art may evoke a completely different emotion. This is why it is all about discovering your unique inner artistic voice.

So far we have explored how colours can evoke feelings and emotions within us. Well, shapes can also do this and also sometimes we can see how we associate shape with colours too. In this lesson we look and the relationship between colours and shapes.

In this lesson we explore textures and layering and how they relate to colours. When we think about textures we can examine those textures in our every day lives such as the clothes we wear. A wool sweater compared to a silk blouse for example. Be mindful and observe how things look as well as they feel.. Stark contrast between different materials. These are an integral part of our intuitive painting process and adds depth to how what we decide to express.

By adding texture to our paintings we can deepen the emotional impact of our paintings. Whether it´s through smooth flowing surfaces or rough, chaotic ones, textures can evoke a wide range of feelings. As we use different tools and materials we can change the tactile quality of our art work, adding emotional depth.

I´m so excited to share this painting demonstration with you and at the same time tell you about how I am feeling as I am doing it in my personal style. I go with the flow and allow my personal intuition to influence me just as you will when you do yours. Often unexpected shapes, forms and colours. Here you will see me use different tools to add texture. How will you bring deeper meaning to your art work and take your painting to new heights?
