In this module, we look at the simple relationship between unemployment and the performance of the general stock market. We also visit a website that tracks published retrenchment data across different countries globally.

Breaking down large projects into smaller chunks is a great way make it easy for us to progress while getting motivated every time we clear one of the levels. In this module we break down hustling into four distinct levels, starting from something to dip our toe in, work our way up and finally get into something that potentially replaces our current job. We look at some examples of hustles in level 1.
A side hustle is a type of work that someone takes on in addition to their main job or occupation. It is often a part-time or freelance job that someone pursues in their spare time to earn extra income, gain new skills, or pursue a passion.
Side hustles have become increasingly popular in recent years as people look for ways to supplement their income and diversify their work experience. They can take many forms, such as starting a small business, offering freelance services, or selling products online.
Side hustles are important for several reasons. Firstly, they provide an additional source of income, which can help people pay off debt, save for a large purchase, or build an emergency fund. Secondly, side hustles allow people to pursue their passions and interests outside of their main job, which can be personally fulfilling and increase overall job satisfaction. Thirdly, side hustles can help people gain new skills and experiences that can be valuable in their main job or future career paths. Finally, side hustles can also provide a sense of security in uncertain economic times, as they provide an additional source of income that is not tied to a single employer or job.
In this course, we breakdown the process of gradually moving into a life of hustling in 4 different levels.
Level 1: Laying the foundation
Level 2: Dipping a toe inside - getting started
Level 3: Building momentum
Level 4: Launch a new career
In discussing these 4 levels, multiple examples of hustles that students can immediately try are given.
