    In Lesson 1, we embark on the exploration of anxiety—its origins, its manifestations, and, most importantly, the keys to overcoming it through our life-changing anxiety removal techniques.

    Anxiety ABC: Understanding the Roots

    At its core, anxiety is the offspring of our fear of the unknown—a dance with worry over future events, fuelled by an insatiable desire to control the uncontrollable. The journey begins with a seemingly innocuous thought: "What if?" Each of us harbours unique "what ifs," entwined with our past experiences and learnings. This course will guide you to unearth, challenge, and detach from the need to control life's uncertain "what ifs."


    Navigating the Dimensions of Anxiety: ABCD

    • A: Autonomic (Physical Symptoms): Anxiety manifests physically, expressing itself through symptoms like dizziness, stomach pains, or a tight chest. As your taking this course, I’ll presume you know how that feels.

    • B: Behavioural (Actions): Behaviours become the canvas upon which anxiety paints its picture. The course will unveil how to identify and reroute predesigned programs, such as avoiding situations at any cost or procrastinating your entire day away so you don’t fail at whatever it is you’re meant to be doing..

    • C: Cognitive (Thoughts): Anxiety weaves a tapestry of negative thoughts, shaping your perception of the world. You will learn how to unravel these thoughts and reshape your mental landscape. Choosing what thoughts you focus on and feed into is the start of choosing your emotional state of being.

    • D: Feeling (Emotion): Anxiety elicits emotions, often culminating in fear, anger, or the ever-pervasive guilt. It's time to break free from this cycle of emotional turmoil. Today is the first day of the rest of your life.


    Deconstructing Anxiety: A Practical Example and reframe technique

    Consider this scenario: You've been invited to a friend's birthday meal, yet anxiety whispers doubts about what others "will" think about you. Dive into the intricacies of this thought process—where it arises, its physical manifestations, and the emotional aftermath. Through this analysis, you can gain a fresh perspective and equip yourself with the tools to sidestep the negative effects of anxiety in the future.

    Watch yourself, as you imagen the above scenario within your mind. Notice the thought of “not being good enough” play out within your mind and where, if at all, you experience anxiety within your body. Note any particular thoughts or feelings that trigger a state of anxiety and question if they are true, or not. The next step in this easy to use, short reframe technique is to choose an alternative statement to think about. Instead of E.G “what if they don’t like my new shoes,” say to yourself, “what if they all love my new shoes!” This turns an anxious thought into an excited one, which we will learn more about later in this course.


    Breaking the Cycle: Exiting the Roundabout

    Anxiety's vicious cycle perpetuates itself through thoughts, physical symptoms, behaviours, and emotions. But fear not, for within this course lies the means to exit this roundabout of suffering. Recognise that you are not defined by your thoughts or behaviours; you are a being of unlimited potential with the power to shape your destiny.


    Reprogramming Your Inner Computer

    Envision yourself as a computer, born blank, accumulating programs throughout life. The old programs that are not serving your highest and greatest good can be replaced with mindfully chosen and beneficial ones today.
