    ANTI-STRESS MASSAGE

Anti-stress Massage is what deactivates the state of stress in our body.

When we experience situations of fear and anxiety, our nervous system activates the state of stress in our body.

Some symptoms of the state of stress are:

    • Fast and sharp breathing

    • Change in heart rate and increased blood pressure

    • Chest pain

    • Headaches, dizziness, and eye pain

    • Feeling tense

    • Nail biting, teeth grinding and skin picking

    • Digestion problems, abdominal pain and gastrointestinal discomfort etc.

The Anti-stress Massage comes in a specific way to relax the nervous system and thereby deactivate the state of stress.

By thus bringing balance to the nervous system and the body in general, it alleviates these symptoms. As it also helps to release tensions in the muscular system. It can also help with blood circulation and mood enhancement.

In this particular massage, the basis of the movements comes from Ayurvedic massage techniques and is relatively fast and rhythmic, without any pressure but with a certain intensity of touch.

    WHAT IS STRESS

Stress can cause physical and mental health issues, but it is not a medical condition.

Stress is the body's natural reaction when it feels pressure and is now a normal part of our daily life.

So when we feel stressed, our body releases cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones support the “fight or flight'' response.

Producing high levels of these hormones over a long period of time can cause health problems.

When stress is continuous, the temporary symptoms associated with it can develop into chronic health issues that affect the immune and digestive system, heart, sleep and reproductive health.

There is no specific medication, but there is support from health professionals, who provide treatment options that may help reduce the effects and manage symptoms.

Some of them are psychotherapy, nutrition, exercise, relaxation and breathing techniques, massage treatments, etc.

    ANXIETY AND THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

When we face a situation of danger, a stressful event, when we are under a lot of pressure, that's when the Autonomic Nervous System gets involved. It is the part of the nervous system responsible for controlling unconscious bodily functions. Which is divided into two other parts, the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic nervous system.

    SYMPATHETIC NERVOUS SYSTEM

The Sympathetic (CNS) is activated when we are under great stress, and is related to the fight or flight mechanism of the brain. Then the hypothalamus of the brain sends a message to the pituitary gland and the mucous membranes, and thus the adrenal glands are activated, sending stress hormones throughout the body.

Such situations are stored and remain in the body, so when we are faced with another stressful situation, which is not really a threat, this stored situation is recalled again in the body.

When the Sympathetic (CNS) is now deactivated, the Parasympathetic (PSNS) is activated

    PARASYMPATHETIC NERVOUS SYSTEM

The Parasympathetic (PSNS) regulates the functions of various organs such as the heart and blood vessels. It suppresses the functions of these organs after the action of the CNS on them, so that the balance is restored after the end of the fight or flight mechanism.

The PSNS is divided into two parts, one is the most primitive and is related to the “freeze” reaction, which is a last-ditch survival mechanism.

The second more sophisticated is activated in conditions of calm and safety, when we can do things that please us and without pressure. When we are in a state to receive love. When we can perceive ourselves and the world around us.

In our daily life, we <<move>> through these three states of the Autonomic Nervous System to deal with each situation accordingly.

It is therefore beneficial to try to find some time to relax every day, in order to promote the activation of the more “evolved” part of the Parasympathetic, which contributes to relieving stress and improving our mental and physical health.

    AYURVEDIC MASSAGE

Ayurvedic massage releases muscle tension, promotes lymphatic drainage, focuses heavily on the skin and uses movements that stimulate blood circulation.

During this massage, hormones are released that reduce stress, improve heart rate, lead to progressive muscle relaxation and affect specific parts of the Nervous system.

    Anti-stress hormones:

    — Endorphin: It works like a painkiller for the body. Feeling of euphoria.

    — Dopamine: Associated with pleasant experiences. Feeling of satisfaction.

    — Serotonin: Affects mood. Promotes better mood.

    — Oxytocin: Hormone of love. It increases with physical contact.

    — Melatonin: Related to sleep. It is activated during sleep.
