This class will teach you how to create and animate 3D lettering in Adobe After Effects. I will show you how to use the After Effects built-in 3D extrusion tool to create three-dimensional lettering. I will take you through the process of positioning your lettering in 3D space, animating the extrusion and setting up colour controls to add some depth to your letters.

Create a looping animation of your 3D lettering and post it to the project gallery!


ASSIGNMENT

Animate a short phrase of 3 to 5 words with three-dimensional extrusion. Make sure your animation loops and export it as a GIF or a video.

You can search online for a phrase, use a popular saying or try the WTF Should I Letter phrase generator by Hom Sweet Hom.
