Description

The purpose of this course is to introduce individuals to the world of Animal Care and Wildlife Rehabilitation.  It is targeted at individuals working within wildlife rehabilitation or similar industries, but have no formal qualifications or skills and that would like to learn how to deal with animals in captivity in a professional, ethical and responsible manner. It is also ideally suited to those unemployed individuals who want to enter the wildlife rehabilitation, animal caretaker or wildlife guiding industry. 


You will learn about the following:

1. Classification of living organisms

2. Animal Behaviour

3. Identify symptoms of defense behaviour

4. Handling animals in captivity

5. Minimize risk when working with animals

6. Observe and handle animals

7. Facilities for handling animals

8. Perform basic procedures under full supervision

Once the course has been completed we would like to receive your feedback on the content and the activities to ensure that we keep on improving our content. Upon completion of everything you will be able to download your theoretical certificate but practice will be needed for the full qualification.


Once you have completed this online course, you will be credited with one of the modules of the Captive Animal Care giver qualification provided by Sondela Academy.
