Ancient Egyptian Mythology 101

In this lecture you will learn the Order of the Gods. I go back in time and discuss the first Gods of Ancient Egypt. I then explain the best way that I can, who were the children of the different Gods and who married who etc.. This lecture may seem a little confusing, but after you learn about the God and Goddesses in the following lectures it should make more sense and become easier.

In this lecture we will discuss Atum, Ra, and Amun Ra.

In this lecture you will learn about the God Kephri. He is also another form of the God, Ra.

In this lecture, you will learn about the Goddess, Neith.

In this video, you will learn about more than just the God Khnum. We will also discuss the Goddess Satet, Anuket, Serket, and God Heka.

In this lecture you will learn about the Goddess Mut.

In this lecture, we will speak about Ptah, Imhotep, Nefertum, and the Apis Bull.

In this lecture, we will learn about the Goddess Maat and Isfet. We will also mention Ammut, the devourer.

In this lecture, we will discuss the crocodile God, Sobek.

In this lecture, you will learn who the God Shu was and who the Goddess Tefnut was.

In this lecture you will learn about the God Osiris and the Goddess Isis.

In this lecture we will learn about the two Gods Seth or Set, and Horus. These two Gods were constantly fighting.

In this lecture you will learn about the Goddess Nephthys and the Four sons of Horus. The four sons were, Hapy, Imsety, Duamtef, and Qebehsunuef.

In this lecture, we will learn about the God Hapi.

In this lecture you will learn about the God Anubis. Other deities will be mentioned such as Anput, Upuaut and Wepwawet. Also mentioned is the Book of the Dead.

In this lecture, you will learn about the Goddess Serket. The spelling varies. (serget, serqet)

In this lecture we will discuss the Goddesses Hathor and Sekhmet.

In this lecture we will learn about the Goddess Bastet.

In this lecture we will discuss the God Thoth. We will also learn some information on the Book of Thoth. Also mentioned in this lecture is the Wadjet Eye.

In this lecture, you will learn about Goddess Seshat.

In this lecture, we will learn about the God Bes and the Goddess Taweret.

In this lecture, we will discuss the God Aten. A sun disc was used to represent him. He did not have a human form.

We will talk about the Goddess Wadjet, the Uraeus, and the Goddess Nekhbet.  Included with this lecture is a coloring book page of a Uraeus.

Since Wadjet and Nekhbet are not on my Gods and Goddess Order lecture, I wrote this article to try to explain more on their timeline. They are very ancient dieties.

In this lecture, we will learn about what culture in Ancient Egypt was like. Bathing, makeup, jewelry, housing, entertainment, foods, jobs, and art will be discussed.

In this lecture, we will speak about some of the well known Pharaohs. Akhenaten, Nefertiti, King Tut, Hatshepsut, Amenhotep III, Rameses II, Cleopatra VII.

In this lecture, we will discuss step pyramids, where the pyramids were built, how big they were, what it was like inside, the Great Pyramid, The Great Sphinx, and the Valley of the Kings.

In this lecture I will discuss the Hieroglyphic language of Ancient Egypt. I will also teach you how to spell your name or where to have it done for you.
