By the end of the course, you will be able to itentify between the different eras within the Reconstruction period. The students will be able to chronicle important events and political occurances.
Students will need access to speakers and system requirements for taking a course on Udemy. There are no additional course requirements or materials.
Prerequisite knowledge: Basic knowledge of American History is preferred, but not a requirement. If you do not have any background knowledge, you will still be able to complete and do well in this course.
This course will cover American History from 1865 - Reconstruction. This course specifically covers the era after the American Civil War formally known as the Reconstruction Era. This course will use a lecture format with supplemental materials to engage students in the learning material.
The course will also include a series of 5 mini quizzes and one final examination. The course will run as a lecture-style course with some supplemental materials used for expanding understanding.
Each part of the course will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. Students may go as fast or slow as they deem necessary when taking this course.

The intended audience for this course would be those interested in American History. The course will be taught at a level for both those already familiar with the Reconstruction era to gain advance their previous knowledge and those unfamiliar to gain new knowledge.
I am a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education (Social Studies). I also hold two minors - one in History and the other in Geography. I am a licensed teacher and hold a teaching certificate the state of Pennsylvania. I am always looking for new ways to share knowledge with others.
