Robert Eidus is the founder of the NC Ginseng & Goldenseal Co., in 1994, at Eagle Feather Organic Farm in Marshall, NC. His main teacher was Billy English from Flag Pond, TN who owned the American Ginseng Co. Robert is President of the NC Ginseng Association, a non-profit, founded in 2013, after a successful Ginseng Expo in 2012. NCGA is founded to help ginseng farmers produce organic wild- stimulated ginseng. In 1999, Robert founded the Southern Appalachian School for Growing Medicinal Plants and in 2000 had a Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Producer grant on Ginseng Production with Herbal Fungicide Sprays. This grant led to lecture at The Future of American Ginseng and Other Appalachian Forest Botanicals Symposium July 2017 in Morgantown, West Virginia. His lecture was included in the Symposium Proceedings. Robert teaches wildly at festivals and gatherings plus has a radio program Plants and Their Friends on wART, 95.5 on the FM dial. He has authored a booklet on Growing Ginseng now in its third addition and has numerous ginseng episodes on his Youtube channels, PlantFriends and Eagle Feather Organic Farm.
