In this lesson, you will learn all about photography exposure
In this lesson, Andrew teaches you how you can get the exposure correct through choosing the right metering mode and the correct choices of the exposure triangle's values of ISO, Aperture & Shutter Speed.
Note: to learn this, it is best you use MANUAL EXPOSURE MODE on your camera!
Remember, the correct workflow would be:
1. Choose the right Metering Mode
2. Choose the correct ISO based on the location's brightness
3. Choose the F value (or Shutter Speed, if you are shooting speed-based photography like action photography)
4. Finally, change the Shutter Speed (or Aperture, if you are shooting action photography) to get the exposure meter to show ZERO on its scale.
Enjoy this lesson.
In the previous lessons, you learned how to shoot in FULL MANUAL EXPOSURE MODE.
It is powerful, but a lot of work and slow too, unless you have gotten accostumed to it.
This lesson, Andrew teaches you the Correct way of how to shoot in Aperture (or Shutter priority).
Note: to learn this, it is best you use APERTURE EXPOSURE MODE on your camera!
Remember, the correct work flow would be:
1. Set Auto ISO to ON
2. Choose Highest ISO allowed
3. Choose lowest shutter speed allowed
4. Set a higher DEFAULT ISO value, so that camera can use ISO values instead of Shutter to balance your exposure meter
5. Note the camera should change ISO until it maxs out before it resorts to changing your Shutter speed (or Aperture, if you use Tv mode)
Correction to the video: Av = Aperture Priority Tv = Shutter Priority In Canon cameras

Learn what is a grey card, how a grey card works and WHY it works.
In this lesson, Andrew also puts the grey card's result to side-by-side comparision with his camera's Average Metering.
