Set your camera to manual, select multi-area exposure metering, and switch to single-point AF. Shoot in black and white with Raw plus JPEG at ISO 1600, and consult your manual.
Master exposure by using the light meter and balancing shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. Practice one-stop and third-stop compensations, including instinctive dial changes and keeping the meter at zero.
Practice mastering exposure basics by taking at least ten photos: shoot with correct exposure, then tweak one parameter and compensate with the others using shutter speed, ISO, and aperture.
Practice photography by balancing white balance with at least three light sources, then compare auto white balance to a preset to judge color accuracy.
Do you own a DSLR or mirrorless camera but still shoot in automatic mode?
If your photos don’t turn out the way you imagine them, it’s not a lack of talent!
It’s simply that no one has ever clearly explained what really happens when you change aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
This course was created for exactly that reason.
My innovative method has been developed and refined over the course of more than 20 years of experience, with valuable feedback from my students playing a key role in its evolution. In just 22 lessons, you will learn how to use manual mode on your camera to take the photos you have always dreamed of. Take photos, learn and enjoy practising photography techniques and composition.
