This course is a simple fast paced quick project from the Alcohol Ink Art Society Conference in January 2018. Not everyone had the chance to join as this was our first one ever. So I made this quick course so that you can still take the adventure. I am so glad you have signed up. I hope you enjoy painting with me. If there is anything you feel you need, please don't hesitate to send me a message in the Q & A section or email me, I'm here for you. Also if there are any changes I can make to the course to help you and future students please share. It would mean the world to me if you find the course a 5 Star!
If you are new to Udemy you may find this quick tutorial helpful. I'll discuss Playback issues, where to post Questions, where to find your resources in the lectures, and how to leave or skip a review.
Hello and welcome to your first online course with me. I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to you. My name is Kellie Chasse, I am a professional full time artist and instructor here on Udemy. I do have Youtube Channel where this year I will be giving lots of free demos and tips every Tuesday at 9am EST. I teach because I love it and sharing my hard learned lessons in art with you and hope that you can take away some quick tips and tricks from my step by step courses.
Glass is not the only material you can use Art Resin on. You can use Tinted Art Resin on many other materials. In this video lecture I want to quickly show you just a few of my favorite substrates to use Resin on.
If this is your first resin course with me, let's chat about the basics.
I've used this lecture in other resin courses that you may have taken, so please re-watch if you need a refresher.

In this section students will see step by step how to measure and mix Art resin. Students will have an understanding of how to make sure resin cures properly and we will cover how long students have to work with resin before it begins to cure. Attached is a Art Resin Calculator to help decide how much Art Resin one should mix. (length/wide).
In this lecture students will learn how to mix Alcohol Inks into their Clear resin to produce some lovely colors for their glass painting. Here we will use the colors. You can of course choose different colors for you project.
Now that our resin has been mixed and our colors have been added, students will begin to layers some color on the glass.
Be careful not to mix your colors too much at the beginning so that your colors will stay fresh and bold.
Please not after pouring your resin you will need a small butane (plumber or chef) torch to help remove the bubbles.
In this lecture we will continue to add more layers on the glass and begin forming our scene. We will then use a torch to pop our bubbles and thin out the resin making it more fluid and easier to blend.
Now that our painting has begun to take shape we will finish up with the final details in our painting before allowing it to sit and cure.
Once you painting process is complete you will need to cover you painting with a plastic tub, cardboard box, or other prop to prevent dust particles getting into your resin as it dries.
Now that our Resin has cured we will see the finished results including the back side our our painting which has been hidden until the reveal. We can now add the glass to our chosen frame to complete the finished look.
