  • Technique Outlook1:40

Learning Nikkyo is a process of training when you examine the angle and position you obtain to influence the wrist joint for the control of the whole body of Uke.

This unit (course) provides the concepts and corresponding developing exercises aimed to help you consider Nikkyo (technique) from different angles and also improve your body structuring and movement skills.

Although this course has its independent value, the instructions include references to the preparation exercises, which are desirable for better technique comprehension.

Requirements

  • Designed for beginners! No prior experience in martial arts is need for taking this course. Understanding of the SAA Basic Positions and Movements (BPM) is desirable.

Description

This course is designed for you to learn and master one of the foundational techniques of Aikido. The instructions were made clear and deliberate for any beginner to understand. And even if you think you know, with this course see how your Nikkyo technique can be raised to the next level.

Everything is organized for your sequential and smooth learning: detailed video instructions, support materials, etc.

The “Sequence of Movements” - the starter section of the course - will allow you to grasp a general picture of the movements. But the movements are only an external layer of the practice. When you start practicing, your perception will be constantly changing. You may have whatever opinion about what you see in the video of the course right now. It will inevitably change with the practice when you encounter the challenges a beginner cannot see or expect. Every concept and technical detail presented in this course will start increasing its value. As you progress, you will come back again and again to the instructions of the course in order to see “that very detail”. Of course, in order for that to happen, your personal experience is the key.

The basis of this course: 12 year teaching experience, focused research and development. Due to its accuracy and efficiency, the curriculum and approaches had not been changed within the next 10 years of application and practice.

Discover Aikido as an ultimate tool for self-development and self-transformation. Through actions to comprehension!

With the correct approach and practice organization (as offered here), your Aikido practice can be a fulfilling, rewarding and eye-opening endeavor.

Who this course is for:

  • “Self-defense skills” is the most outer (or rigid) layer of the practice values. The development of all Human faculties with the instrument of Aikido is the ultimate goal of the offered instructions. Inner (or more important) values are there to be discovered in the process! If you manage to organize your practice accordingly, you will experience how the offered activity is fulfilling, safe and rewarding.
