Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

AI Literacy for Healthcare Professionals is a 12-lesson video course (about 63 minutes) that gives clinicians the judgment skills to use artificial intelligence safely and effectively in everyday practice. Artificial intelligence is already writing notes, triaging messages, and shaping clinical decisions. This course teaches you what every clinician needs to know right now.

You will learn how large language models and neural networks actually work, with no hype and no jargon. You will learn how to use AI in real clinical workflows: documentation, handoffs, triage, and discharge summaries, always with disciplined human verification. You will learn how to spot bias, protect patient privacy, and resist automation bias, and you will know exactly when not to trust an AI output.

You will also learn how to evaluate AI tools like a buyer: external validation, FDA clearance, workflow fit, and alert burden. A full lesson covers the law and liability of AI-assisted care, including documentation and disclosure duties. The course closes with a 30-day action plan that turns knowledge into habit.

Every lesson ends with a knowledge-check quiz. The course is taught in plain language for busy clinicians. No technical or coding background is required.

Built by a physician, for clinicians. Your instructor is Navindra Ramdeen, DO.
