Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

This is a course with subtitles (Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Tagalog, Turkish, Hindi, English and Japanese),  to learn AI software methods for oral diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as to review all the required knowledge of digital dentistry and image taking, which are required to understand and use AI properly.
The first part of this course is already the main clinically relevant lectures, showing how and why dentists should adopt AI-powered software programs and their dental clinics.

The second part is composed of step-by-step tutorials showing AI software manipulation in real time.

The third part is the clinical case analysis, including a review of basic AI concepts behind the methods learned (machine learning, CNN, etc.).
Hope you enjoy for your dental clinics and activities.

Although intraoral scanners and Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) technology have been increasingly adopted in dentistry, only a few dental clinics shifted to a complete and plasterless AI-powered digital workflow for all the patients. This is because digital dentistry requires an important learning curve of skills and knowledge.

Among the key features of AI-powered digital workflow is the ability to merge and superimpose three-dimensional (3D) meshes from different imaging examinations to create a virtual patient, which enhances virtual treatment planning and communication with patients. This course is divided in two parts: the first will introduce important concepts and knowledge required to understand and start using AI-powered digital workflow to diagnose and plan a multidisciplinary dental treatment in the private dental practice and integrated dental clinics. This includes advantages, drawbacks, and clinical research on digital dentistry. Other parts of the course will cover clinical cases and strategies to use digital workflow and the CAD-CAM technology to enhance the predictability of clinical outcomes for patients undergoing prosthetic oral rehabilitation, without and with dental implants.

Who this course is for:

  • Third year dental students onwards, dental clinicians, dental hygienists.
