Legal teams spend enormous effort on repetitive, high-volume work: reviewing contracts clause by clause, drafting from stale templates, keeping playbook positions consistent across reviewers, tagging and finding past work, clearing marketing claims, and wading through discovery. This course shows how generative AI compresses that effort — improving speed, accuracy, and risk management without giving up professional judgment.
Everything here is tool-agnostic and practical. You will follow one company the whole way: Harborview Legal, the 16-person in-house team at a mid-market consumer-products business handling roughly 2,400 contracts a year. Each section advances their journey from manual, inconsistent work to a governed, AI-augmented operation — so nothing stays abstract.

What you will build
You will run an AI-assisted first-pass contract review that flags risky, missing, and off-standard clauses; draft and stress-test agreements while owning enforceability; encode a negotiation playbook so every reviewer applies the same positions; design a tagging schema that makes past work findable; screen marketing claims against substantiation rules; triage a discovery set for relevance and privilege defensibly; and write the governance policy that makes all of it hold up.
The course closes with a 30-60-90 day rollout plan so you leave with a sequence, not just ideas. No coding and no prior AI experience required.
