What you'll learn

  • Identify workplace processes that are genuinely suitable for safe AI automation.
  • Prioritise AI opportunities using value, feasibility and risk — and the four disqualifiers that override the score.
  • Build an AI-assisted workflow with structured inputs, a fixed output template and numbered constraints.
  • Test workflow reliability with a real test set, adversarial inputs and a human-baseline comparison.
  • Calculate realised ROI — including the human review time every other calculator leaves out.
  • Protect confidential and customer information, and design human review, escalation and approval controls.
  • Run a limited pilot and produce a one-page business case your manager can act on.
  • Develop a 90-day roadmap for becoming the AI champion inside your organisation.

Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Most AI courses leave you with a workflow. This one leaves you with evidence.

There are two kinds of workplace AI course on the market, and neither of them finishes the job.

One kind teaches tools. Hours of automation platforms, agents and integrations — genuinely useful if you are building software, but nobody in them ever asks whether the thing works, what it replaced, or what it was worth. You finish with a workflow and no evidence.

The other kind teaches strategy. Frameworks, prioritisation matrices and ROI templates aimed at leaders. Also useful — but you never build anything. You evaluate hypothetical ideas and finish with a spreadsheet about work that does not exist yet.

This course walks the whole distance, on one real process from your own job.

What you actually do

You pick one process. You watch it, map it, and measure what it costs today — before you touch a tool. You classify the data it involves and design the human review gate that gets your project approved instead of quietly stopped in a corridor. You build the workflow, then you deliberately break it and fix it with structure rather than firmer wording. You build a test set and find out whether it is genuinely reliable. You run a four-week pilot with a real colleague who is not you. You calculate the return honestly — including the review time that every other ROI calculator omits. And you produce a one-page business case your manager can say yes or no to.

The section nobody else teaches

Section 6 is about evaluation: representative test sets, correctness criteria, comparison against a human baseline, and adversarial inputs. Not one comparable course teaches a learner how to determine whether their AI workflow is actually reliable. It is the difference between “it worked when I tried it” and evidence.

Honest about the numbers

The course follows Halden Supply Group, a mid-size distributor, through the whole arc — and their realised return comes in below the projection. That is deliberate. You will see exactly why it happened, and why reporting it made the project more credible rather than less. Courses that only show wins teach you to present numbers no manager believes.

What you take away

  • 12 downloadable templates: discovery workbook, ROI calculator, baseline sheet, data classification worksheet, risk assessment, workflow canvas, prompt specification, SOP, evaluation kit, pilot pack, adoption pack and a 30/60/90 roadmap
  • 9 completed artifacts that assemble into one management-ready business case
  • 7 quizzes and 10 practical assignments, each with a fully worked solution — not a list of tips
  • A written 90-day plan you start on Monday

No programming. No vendor lock-in — every outcome survives your organisation changing tools.

Become the employee who can safely turn AI into measurable workplace results.

Who this course is for:

  • Business professionals who already use ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot casually and have hit the ceiling of ad-hoc prompting
  • Business analysts, project managers, operations staff and team leaders
  • Employees handed "AI adoption" without a budget or a mandate
  • Consultants moving from prompting to business implementation
  • Non-technical professionals who want to become their team's AI champion
