Requirements

  • Students should have basic computer skills and a general understanding of operating systems. Prior Linux experience is helpful but not mandatory, as every lab is demonstrated step by step. You should have a computer capable of running virtualization with hardware virtualization (Intel VT-x or AMD-V) enabled in the BIOS/UEFI, at least 16 GB of RAM (32 GB recommended for larger labs), sufficient free SSD storage, and administrator access to install software. A willingness to learn Linux command-line basics, networking concepts such as IP addressing and routing, and automation tools will help you progress more quickly. No previous experience with KVM, Vagrant, Ansible, FRR, OSPF, IPsec GRE, or AI agents is required because these technologies are introduced and practiced throughout the course.
