Workshop six from our full program– Overview – Workshop six explores the practice of affirmations and gratitude to enhance well–being. As well as this, we bring together all previous workshops and explore what has been learned along the way. We follow this up with a group exercise to see how much information has been retained and how participants can support themselves with their body image, if needed. An interactive workshop with
one group exercise that engages and explores body image difficulties and a way forward, as well as self–exploration in their journey planner around their own body image. We then finish the workshop with a simple meditation practice for better well–being and focus, which can be applied at home, to help with difficult emotions that may arise.

This workshop must be carried out with an adult.
Please allow your child the space to write down their own thoughts on paper as the exercises are geared around emotional expression so that your child can express how they feel.
Do not look at what your child writes unless they want to show you.
Let your child know that you will NOT look at what they write and this space is for them to write how they feel without anyone seeing. Remember, if your child is struggling with their body image, they will try their best to keep their thoughts a secret from you, due to shame or embarrassment. So give your child this space.
Make sure you are in a private room, just you and your child, away from others and any noises.
