Students will have an understanding of what will be covered in this course.
Create the main rectangle, the basis of the first graphic.
You will learn how to create the square grid using After Effects' built-in alignment and distribution tools.
Create additional elements using shape layers and the text tool.
Create the bar chart using text and shape layers.
I will teach you how to generate random text.
A wrap up of everything learned in Section 2.
You will learn how to create the basis of the circular graphic using shape layers. I will teach you how to create a perfect circle.
You will learn how to use the stroke effect to create a variety of patterns quickly and simply.
Repeat the process from the previous lecture in order to add variation to their graphical elements.
Add text and other graphical elements to add interest to their piece.
I will teach you how to work with audio inside of After Effects, and how to use the Audio Spectrum effect to create a variety of looks.
Learn how to add subtle backgrounds to create the feeling of depth.
I will teach you how to use Radio Waves to create a radar effect. We will also work with shape layers to create track mattes to limit the view of a particular layer.
Beginning to animate! We will animate the outer bars of our rectangular graphic to get our animation started. Learn how to use Hold Keyframes.
I'll teach you how to animate and time the main background of our graphic using simple keyframes.
I will teach you how to effectively use the "Wiggle" expression to create varied animations without setting any keyframes.
I will introduce you to several of After Effects' built-in animation presets. An easy way to achieve some awesome looking animations.
Learn how to animate the stroke effect. I will teach you how to build a stroke on and off, as well as how to offset the stroke along it's path using the Time Expression. No keyframes necessary!
Things get a little more advanced as you learn how to use a Slider Control to animate the scale of your layers, as well as the content of a Text layer. I'll show you how to link parameters using the pickwhip, and we will use our friend the Wiggle Expression to animate without any keyframes.
Animate the random text using the built-in Typewrite preset!
You'll again be using the stroke effect and the Time expression to animate the rotation of the initial ring.
We'll repeat the process from the previous lecture to added variation to our remaining circular layers.
I'll teach you how to make the radio waves appear as if they are rotating by animating the layer mask.
We will animate the triangular elements again using the Wiggle expression, but this time to effect rotation.
You'll learn how to have your numbers count up by parenting the Text layer to a slider and animating with simple keyframes.
You'll learn about After Effect's multiple view options, and how to arrange your layers in 3D space to give your graphic depth.
You'll learn how to animate your layers on in 3D space, and how to use motion blur to enhance the effect.
I'll teach you a simple trick for animating the camera by parenting it to a null object, and how to work with the built-in Depth of Field to give you object realistic depth.
Learn the basics of color keying with some tips and tricks to get a clean key.
I will teach you how to motion track live-action footage using AE's built-in camera tracker.
You'll learn how you can precompose your footage to set up you main composition.
I'll teach you how to bring in your first graphic element, composite it on top of your live-action footage, and parent it to your camera data for realistic motion.
I'll teach you how to bring in your second graphic element, composite it on top of your live-action footage, and parent it to your camera data for realistic motion.
In this awesome beginner and intermediate-level course we'll cover a wide variety of techniques for creating and animating some really cool, futuristic graphics inside of After Effects.
Master the tools you need to conquer any project in just 1.5 hours.
You'll learn how to:
*create and design your graphics using only After Effects' built-in tools,
*animate your graphics using basic keyframes and simple expressions,
*achieve a clean green screen color key
*motion track live-action footage
*composite your animated graphics over top for a final look.
The first two sections will cover creating a rectangular graphic and a circular graphic from scratch entirely inside of After Effects. You'll gain knowledge of the AE layout as well as where to find some of the software's most important, and commonly used, tools. We'll discuss working with shape layers, using the stroke effect, After Effects' built-in alignment and distribution tools, and loads of other good stuff.
The following two sections is where the fun begins as you learn how to animate your graphics and watch them come to life. I'll cover animating with basic keyframes and teach you some simple expressions you can use to achieve complex animations without actually setting any keyframes! You'll also learn how to animate your layers in 3D space, and how to work with the camera to create depth.
Finally, I'll teach you how to put it all together for a final piece! You'll learn the techniques used to get a clean green screen color key, how to motion track live-action footage, and how to place your already animated and completed graphics on top of the live-action footage to create the final look.
