For this class to be really efficient you need to take action and work on the #assignment I will be leading out to you! Participate in the class and take part in the discussions in the discussion board inside the course to talk with me and any student!
With this lesson I would like you to "jump into the water" with After Effects. I will introduce you to one of your first animations to create which will help you understand the workflow and general movement through After Effects.
Not everyone is on the same knowledge level in After Effects. I do not know your background in graphic design, online teaching, animation, motion graphics experience so you have to lean your hand towards me. This is a beginners class in After Effects Motion Graphics Deisgn and I cover the animation step-by-step, but you might always run intro troubles or have some questions. That's why I'm here as Your instructor! If you have any question or troubles completing the animation post it right away in the discussion board and I will be happy to help you out in Your beginners journey!
For everyone who doesn't know After Effects at all or is just at the beginner level I have recorded this introductory lesson so you get a bit familar with the program itself and with it's navigation. I will cover mostly the things that we will talk about while designing the animation itself so you will already have basic understanding on what's going on and how to approach certain tasks!
Here you can download the neccesary resources if you want to have a reference while working on the project in this class.
We need to make the first baby steps in our 101 series for creating the typographic line logo reveal in After Effects. For that we will make a new composition, a new solid fill layer to work as a background for us and we will set all the parameters for a Full HD quality animation flowing 30 frames per second!
In this after effects motion graphic animation desgin tutorial we will work to create the shapes and outlines for the animation we plan. We will work extensively with the pen tool (G) and try to correct out mistake with the direct selection tool (V). I will highlight all the shortcuts I'm using to make the work easier for you.
Keyframing is an essential task in After Effects and it's a perfect moment to strat learning it with this easy to follow lesson! Open up After Effects no matter if you have CS 5, CS 5.5, CS6, or CC and start keyframing the design!
This design will not be complete until we make a few final adjustments. Drop in with me to Your project and continue working. We need to add some strokes, fade the actual design in and out and check if everything is nicely balanced and works well with the word we chose!
After Effects and overall video animation softare uses keyframes to change values of different properties over time and interpolate between those values. In this short answer I want to explain a few basic informations about keyframes.
With this essential tutorial I want to teach you what does the Region of Interest in After Effects do and what can we use it for. With help of that I will show you how to adjust the size of your current composition to perfectly fit the objects you have in them. Often you do want to set keyframes on composition in order to be able to place things inside those comps so they do not get changed.
This is a little bonus design experience I would like to share with you. From time to time we have to prepare a design in After Effects that would seem counter-intuitive to make as a graphic designer. Designing in AE is not the same as drawing in Pohotoshop where all the tools are straightforward. I want to show you a technique of making patterns with the repeater in motion graphic software.
In this lecture I would like to show you a simple approach on a minimal title opener / lower third animation. We will animate a shape layer to showcase a line going form the top of the screen towards its bottom and revealing text along the way. A few cool After Effects tricks will be included and a few track mattes sprinkled along in this design. Let's do this project together and ease some keyframes in it!
With this crispy lecture I wish to inform and teach you about the wonderful Puppet Pin Tool in Adobe After Effects. With help of this splendid tool we are able to animate any PNG image we like
This tutorial will teach you how to make animated trails, strokes, and following paths behind an object. There are many ways and techniques of adding trails, for example with the echo effect and parenting but in this tutorial we will focus on creating stroke paths and using Trim Paths to reveal and hide them behind the moving shape. Just like in the example at the beginning.
Here I want to show you how to divide values of properties (or anywhere withing After Effects) for an efficient workflow.
I want to show you an easy way to export a video production to a GIF file which you can use across the web with a small file size. After Effects doesn't allow us to render the frames straight as a GIF but with help of photoshop or some online converters this will be no problem.
My humble thanks to you for taking part in the class and participating in the entire project. A 101 class means that it's an basic level / entry class to the matter but I'm sure you will like and love the topics covered here. If you finished up the class it would mean the world to me if you'd leave me a review to help me grow here on Udemy and to say "Thanks mate, high five!", that would be awesome!
This is a bonus lecture for the course.
