Description

Build something you can change—and explain why it works.

In this In Simple Terms with Satish course, you will follow one realistic retail request through Adobe Experience Manager Edge Delivery Services. Our fictional Trail & Town campaign contains product information that authors should be able to update without asking a developer to write a new card every time.

You will learn the content contract behind a product block, follow a price from an authored row to the browser, and build a reusable transformation with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Then you will extend the behavior for a sale price, preserve ordinary products, and diagnose two deliberately different failures: an incomplete row and a missing block module.

Practice is part of the curriculum. Five exercises include editable starters, concrete tasks, expected results, optional hints and separate worked solutions. Your code is tested against supplied cases, including malformed and long content. The final independent assignment asks you to deliver a campaign change with the reviewed block code unchanged, check the result, and explain the behavior in your own words.

The supplied local workspace runs on your own computer using Python 3 and a modern browser. It does not require Adobe access. A separate connected route uses your own Adobe authoring environment and GitHub learning repository. Local exercise success does not prove that an Adobe deployment has been verified; the course makes that distinction explicit.

This is a focused component-building course for learners with basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Git knowledge. It is not a complete AEM certification program, a commerce backend implementation, or a promise of a production licence. Allow additional time for setup and hands-on practice beyond the video duration.

AI disclosure: AI tools assisted with scripts, code examples, production and synthetic narration using the instructor's authorized voice. The course includes actual browser demonstrations.

Who this course is for:

  • Web developers new to AEM Edge Delivery Services. AEM practitioners who want a practical introduction to reusable blocks. Learners comfortable with basic frontend code who want exercises with clear acceptance checks.
