Description

Advanced Irish is the perfect course for those who have mastered the Past and Present Tenses and now feel ready to progress on to the Future Tense and the Conditional Mood. In this course, we progress to the Copula of Identification and so I would recommend that students have completed the Intermediate Course first where the Copula of Classification is covered in some detail.

We will look at some common proverbs and how to use them in context. We will also continue to build vocabulary in learning key phrases about the weather.

I would recommend that students take this course in conjunction with the Conversational Irish class.

As always, the exercises at the end of each lecture can be repeated until the student gains full mastery of the concepts covered in the lecture or unit.

Advanced Irish or an tArdchúrsa should be completed before students enroll in topic specific courses, such as  Conversational Irish: Talking About Crime Podcasts and Conversational Irish: Discussing the Neighbours as the Copula of Identification will feature throughout.

As always, I recommend all Advanced Classes are completed in order, starting with this one, Part One.

Your teacher, Laura uses an Caighdeán Oifigiúil, 2017 to explain all grammar concepts. Her dialect is Munster Irish.
