
Learn how to start a new project and how to import files.
Download the sample files and save it to your desktop (or your own choice of location). Next, select your files to import it to your project.
Explore the interface in the 'Edit' tab.
On the left-hand pane:
1. The blue circle with the + symbol allows you to add a title, media and voiceover.
2. Underneath this, you can open your project assets (tap to close the panel).
3. The scissors icon allows you to trim your clips.
4. Under the scissors icon is the duplicate function.
5. The trashcan icon allows you to delete clips.
6. Under the trashcan is the button to expand the audio on your clips (to have a larger overview of clips with audio).
7. The final icon at the bottom of the left-hand pane opens up the tracks on your timeline.
On the right-hand pane:
1. Titles
2. Transitions
3. Colour
4. Speed
5. Audio
6. Crop & Rotate
In this lecture, let's explore the timeline.
Click on the circles on the grey bar at the bottom to zoom in and out of your clips. The keyboard shortcut is the '+/-' keys.
When a clip is active, there will be an oranger border around the clip. Additionally, you will see the playhead/CTI (current-time indicator) on top of the clip.
When a clip is selected, you can navigate to the functions on the left to trim, duplicate and remove it from the timeline.
