Description

Adobe Experience Platform can feel complex because many concepts sound similar: sources, XDM schemas, datasets, identity, profiles, audiences, destinations, and governance. This course explains those ideas in simple terms, with enough technical context to make the concepts useful in real implementation conversations.

We use IST Retail Limited, a fictional retail company, as the practical example throughout the course. You will see how customer data can come from websites, mobile apps, stores, CRM systems, support tools, and marketing platforms. Then you will learn how AEP organizes that data into schemas and datasets, connects identities, builds real-time customer profiles, creates audiences, and sends those audiences to destinations.

This course is designed for marketers, analysts, product owners, consultants, solution architects, data teams, and implementation teams who need a clear AEP mental model before going deeper into product configuration. You do not need previous hands-on AEP experience. Basic familiarity with customer data, digital marketing, analytics, or Adobe Experience Cloud is helpful.

By the end, you should be able to explain what AEP does, why XDM matters, how identity and profile work, what can go wrong with data quality, and how governance protects activation. This course is independent educational content and is not sponsored by Adobe.

Who this course is for:

  • Marketers, analysts, solution architects, consultants, admins, product owners, data teams, and Adobe Experience Cloud learners who need a practical AEP mental model.
