How does the 28 Day RESET Challenge work?
Each day you listen to the short teaching - making notes as you go (“80% of everything we listen to is forgotten unless we write it down somewhere”)
Complete the Challenge section - I have created a separate challenge quiz for you to log your responses. Sometimes these questions will be super simple and take a few minutes, other times it will require you to start it and then keep coming back to it. The next few days and things come to mind
Tick the lesson as “completed”, leave a comment below the lesson with what you found most helpful or insightful, and then enjoy the rest of your day!
Don’t panic if you need longer than 24 hours to complete the lesson and challenge, that’s perfectly ok as it is much better to spend a few days working through some of the more difficult challenges. There is no time limit on completing the challenge (you have lifetime access) so just start back where you left off, there is absolutely no need to try to then complete multiple sessions in a day to catch up.
Enjoy investing time in YOU and your FUTURE

Let's get started on Week 1!
I'm Jules Radford
Back in 2006, I almost lost everything, because I let some destructive habits got the better of me....in the battle of time with partner / kids / friends vs time spent with my destructive habit, the habit ALWAYS won………..sound familiar?
The endless cycle of relapse, focussed effort, to relapse, to focussed effort, was never far away, until something changed ALL of that, yet it took me over a decade to make the transformation from destructive habit, to identifying and living a purpose filled life
So I set out to explore how this process could happen much faster, and created the 28 Day RESET Challenge, to help YOU find that elusive freedom from whatever is holding you back, and start living a purpose filled life, in 28 DAYS, not years or decades. I have been refining this process over the last couple of years to make it as easy and accessible for YOU as possible.
My Story - the man behind the pictures!
I grew up in a lovely home and one of 4, I was fairly successful in school and University, trained with one of the best Accountancy firms on the planet, was married to the most gorgeous girl in the world and we had 2 lovely daughters, yet this wasn't enough, I was always searching and striving for more.
I had made it through life not really knowing what it was like to feel loved or to be truly in love, and so when I was not sure how to deal with my emotions, I self soothed with various substances and destructive habits, which led to problems in my marriage, my family, my relationships, and almost cost me my job.
Outside of Reset-Reimagine, I lead a large global team for a tech company where I am a High Performance Culture coach & facilitator.
What's the story behind the RESET name and logo?
I absolutely love the mountains and adventure sports, and it was in 2017/2018 that looking back I realise my dream of owning an apartment in a ski resort is what got me through some particularly challenging times. Having this dream that I could focus my attention on, stopped me focussing on the destructive habits which had almost cost me my job.
What I didn't realise, was that the ski apartment was only the beginning of the journey.......I got involved in facilitating and leading The Recovery Course in my local town and then Covid-19 hit and we had to move online and as part of the move to online I co-founded the STAR [Steps To Active Recovery] Life Course, writing all the sections around "mastering our mind" which started off a chain reaction that I now realise started back in 2006.
Back in 2004, I had attended an NLP (Neuro Linguisitic Programming) 3 day workshop and it was like a light bulb set off - I suddenly realised the awesome power of the mind, this was then triggered again a few years back when attending a "dream your future" workshop and the idea that 'what we focus on, is what we become' and that if we want to achieve something, we need to first dream it, think it, visualise it, and start taking daily steps towards it.
So the idea formed - what if I focussed on my dream, rather than on my destructive habits......and BOOM, the Mind section of the STAR Life Course was born....but the journey didn't stop here...........
The 3 things that tend to cause addiction or destructive secret habits
What struck me was that it wasn’t the bad habits that was the problem, that was just how I self-soothed my pain, it was 3 things:
the root cause behind the pain and not able to let it go instead using it to hold ne back in life
not having a purpose or a dream to shoot for in life
letting my mind self-sabotage me
Introducing..........The 28-Day RESET Challenge
So I had this crazy idea to build a step by step 28-Day RESET Challenge to guide you from feeling miserable, shame, frustration, numb, absent in relationships, caged in and not reaching your potential, to starting the right steps towards FINALLY achieving freedom from your habits and getting the passion for your life back, all in 28 days.
No fluff. No messing around, just a simple plan to take you from feeling caged in by your secret habit to complete freedom. Would you LOVE to stop feeling miserable, shame, frustration, numb, absent in relationships and start taking the right steps towards FINALLY achieving freedom from your secret habit and living your dream life, a life of passion and purpose?
So this is what I created - The 28-Day RESET Challenge to get from addiction to living your dream life in 28 days:
help you to start using your mind as your best friend instead of your worst enemy
find your purpose and your dream and plot the path towards your dream life
remove the root causes causing you to self soothe…..in 28 days

Write down what success looks like for you from this 28-Day RESET Challenge, why now, why you must not fail
Write down all the good things which have come from your secret habit, then all the bad things. What do you notice?
Write down any significant life events which might have impacted why you have a secret habit
Congrats! You have just finished Day 1!
In today's session we learn that:
Every thought leads to a result or outcome - what are you doing with your thougths?
Our mind is more powerful than we realise - are you using this to your advantage or your disadvantage?
Our mind can be our best friend or our worst enemy - which is it for you?
If you only remember one thing from today...all thoughts result in an outcome
Day 2 Challenge - once you have watched the session, come back here and answer the following questions:
Desired outcomes - What results or outcomes are you trying to achieve from the 28-day RESET Challenge, and why?
Who do you spend your time with - is that good or bad news - do you need to make any changes?
Congrats! You have just finished Day 2!
In session 3, we are focussing on:
Knowing our destiny or purpose gives us a purpose for living and focuses our attention on doing the right things,
We need to find/get back to, our “why” or in other words, we need to rediscover our passion and purpose
If you are a person of faith - ask Jesus / God for insights into what your purpose might be
Activating your learning - once you have watched the session, come back here and answer the following questions:
No failure here - what would you do if you knew you would not fail? Write out a couple of dreams you have or used to have
Next step - against these dreams, write some possible next steps you could take?
Why is now the right time for you - what is your reason to RESET, RECOVER, RESTORE, REIMAGINE - do it for yourself, not anyone else?
Make a note in the comments section below todays session, of what you found most helpful or insightful
In today's lesson, you'll learn how:
We can use the mood elevator to help regulate how we are acting and reacting to situations or our environment
We can control our energy and our mood - remember the music example?
Don’t try to have a challenging conversation when you or the other person is in the lower half of the elevator - wait until you are both in a better place
Day 4 Challenge - once you have watched the session, come back here and answer the following questions:
Score yourself out of 5 on the 6 human needs (1 = needs not met, 5 = needs fully met)
Certainty
Variety
Significance
Love & Connection
Contribution
Growth
Even better - using the scores, what could you start, stop, or change, to improve how your human needs are being met?
Which floor are you on? - Catch yourself at different points in the day - where are you on the mood elevator and how could you “get curious” to go back up?
Congrats! You have just finished Day 4!
In today's lesson, you'll learn how:
When reacting to situations, ask yourself whether you are wearing accountable glasses or the victim glasses?
How can I be more curious to move from victim to a more accountable place?
The pathway to freedom begins when we face the problem without making excuses for it - our life will not get straightened out until our mind does
Day 5 Challenge - once you have watched the session, come back here and answer the following questions:
For a recent situation, in a few lines, summarise what happened and why it was clearly someone else's fault
For the same situation, now rewrite the situation from a more accountable perspective, what more you could have done?
What did you learn from that exercise? - What can you put into practise next time?
Congrats! You have just finished Day 5!
In today's lesson, we'll cover:
What are you focusing on and feeding your mind with - is this helping or hindering you
Focus on where you want to go, the desired outcome,so we live a fully charged life, not caged in and not coasting
When faced with challenges or problems, move quickly to focussing on solutions
Day 6 Challenge - once you have watched the session, come back here and answer the following questions:

The moral inventory will be hard, BUT liberating
This is about you, not blaming other people
The aim is to remove the crud and just leave HOPE behind

Moral inventory - write down your moral inventory i.e. what grudges have you got, against whom and why; in relation to your:
Relationships
Priorities
Integrity
Mind
Body
Liberating - find an opportunity to stand in front of a mirror and take a really good look at yourself. Using Post-Its or pieces of paper, write down some of the things you have done to yourself in the past that you are not happy about. Then write down any resentments that each one may have caused. When you are ready, look at yourself in the mirror and say sorry to yourself. Then screw up all the paper and throw it away to symbolise getting rid of these past hurts. Then give yourself an almighty high five, if you have made it this far, you are utterly amazing, utterly brilliant and utterly awesome
Congrats! You have just finished Day 8!
In this session, we are focussing on:
Which wolf are you feeding
Take captive every thought - use the 3 second rule
Today is the day you stopped using - note it in the calendar

Rejection is at the root of many destructive habits, so we need to find a way to overcome this
There is a remedy for rejection – recognising the issue, and then forgiveness – which we will be covering over the next 2 days
Day 10 Challenge - once you have watched the session, come back here and answer the following questions:
Stop the feuds - write down any feuds you are involved in & write down what YOU need to do to resolve them, be the bigger person and take the first step

How should I forgive?
Day 12 Challenge - once you have watched the session, come back here and answer the following questions:

How to forgive? - with this list, now think about how you might go about forgiving them

Congrats! You have just finished Day 12!
In this session, we are focussing on:
Once we have identified a character defect, we can work on making it into a character asset
We make amends not expecting anything from the other person
When we make amends, we do so unreservedly, no “if’s or but’s”
Day 13 Challenge - once you have watched the session, come back here and answer the following questions:
Character defect - identify your main character defect from the list we talked about in the session and then answer the following question:
How does this character defect tend to express itself in my behaviour?
What kind of stressful situations or pressure causes this defect of character to come to the fore?
What do I need to start doing and/or stop doing to react differently next time?
Amends list - start making an amends list with 4 columns on it. This will likely take more than a few mins so I would suggest for the first pass, just write down everything that comes to mind, and take a break. Keep this list handy so when other people or situations come to mind, you can add them in:
who did I hurt
how did I hurt or harm them
how can I make amends
when will I make this amend
Character defect/asset list - how will you start focussing on the opposite assets rather than your character defects this week?
Congrats! You have just finished Day 13!
In this session, we are focussing on:

Congrats! You have just finished Day 16!
