It is recommended that you have taken Introduction to Adaptive Fashion, History of Adaptive Fashion, and Importance of Disability Inclusion in Fashion prior to taking this course.

Description

Understanding who the adaptive fashion customer is absolutely essential to every component of adaptive fashion. This course, Adaptive Fashion Customer Deep Dive, covers approaches to dressing, target audience roles, and monetary considerations of the customer. This course is intended for individuals in the fashion industry interested in learning more about adaptive fashion. This course will benefit designers, technical designers, production managers, merchandisers, buyers, e-commerce specialists, marketing teams, company executives, and more. Although no prerequisites are needed for this course, it is recommended to take Course 1: Introduction to Adaptive Fashion, Course 2: History of Adaptive Fashion, and Course 3: Importance of Disability Inclusion in Fashion before taking this course.

Lecture 1 provides a brief instructor and course introduction. Lecture 2 will introduce you to the adaptive fashion consumer. Building upon the consumer introduction, in lecture 3 you will learn about the two approaches to dressing used by consumers with disabilites. Within adaptive fashion, the person wearing the clothing isn't always the person purchasing the clothing. Lecture 4 will introduce you the three roles with the target audience of adaptive fashion. In lecture 5, we will cover the impacts of money on our adaptive fashion consumer in order to ensure we truly understand our customer. In our last lecture, Molly Farrell of All Fashion Able shares her experience as an adaptive fashion customer and advocate for finding fashion that works for everyone
