It is also for those who have relevant underpinning knowledge in anatomy, physiology, pathology and first aid etc. Who wish to incorporate what they learn in this course into their professional practice to increase the scope of clinical skills, and services they can provide to their patients. After completing this course here they will be prepared to take the assessment for the professionally accredited certificate. Upon completion of which the candidate will graduate with an accredited certificate and be able to enter into professional autonomous practice.


In order to become a professional the candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and application to a safe, competent standard. Becoming a reflective, adaptive and accountable professional independent practitioner.


The syllabus covers;


1, An introduction to the history and philosophy of Eastern healing art and the science of traditional Chinese medicine. Particularly focussed on acupressure/acupuncture.

2, Pain physiology, psychology, and other pain management strategies including medications, physical therapies and other natural therapies including aromatherapy, herbalism, chiropractic, osteopathy, ozone therapy and exercise etc.

3, Laying foundational knowledge of concepts of Yin & Yang. Chi energy, channels, points, and how to use the Meridian Clock to aid in the diagnosis of organs and organ systems which may be out of balance.

4, Learn the most important point for each of the 12 main channels to unblock and re-balance energy flows. Learn 5 additional master points including 2 extra-ordinary points that can be used to re-balance Chi flow.

5, And also 5 main points including an extra-ordinary point which can be used as an anti-inflammatory point.

6, Contra-indications to, contra-actions, and special precautions to acupressure.

7, Review and monitoring, agreeing on a treatment plan with the patient. How to apply acupressure. How to locate the points.

8, Aftercare of the patient and home care.
