Welcome to Theatre!!!! Everything happening around you in your school, your home, on the streets, on television, even what you think, what you feel, what you say, even what you don't say…everything is Theatre!!!! In this section students learn:
the basics of Theatre,
The life they are living right now and watching around them is actually Theatre
how to recognise what and what not comes under Theatre.
The most important thing we need to know when we want to learn theatre and performance art, is to find our Spiderman or Wonderwoman which means to be able to describe any person or character in one or two words in that one moment.
Students learn observing and intuitively defining themselves, people around them and their favourite characters. This recognising ability of the soul of the character becomes one of most important ability while playing various characters. It helps them to adapt and start playing other characters than themselves.
Students learn:
Physical body movements,
Theatre Physical Exercises,
Yoga asanas for kids related to Theatre
and other exercises
which build endurance, flexibility and strength and are imperative for a good actor. This helps the person to easily adapt themselves into characters.
Tongue Twisters are the funniest and most effective way to clear your diction, enhance vocal chord and improve your performance. Students learn kinds of tongue twister, how to have fun with them and it helps them as an actor.
Improved breathing means improved voice & body movements which helps in enhancing the character greatly. Breath forms the foundation of a great performance. As Kids it helps to lay down the foundation of deep breathing and learn how breathing helps an actor or any artist.
* It is great for parents to help their children during these breathing exercises as they might be doing it for the first time. These exercises really help them to become mindful and aware as an actor and surely helps them in the later stages of taking professional Theatre.
Specified Theatrical Voice Exercises are introduced in this section which will help kids to enhance the quality of their voice and know the impact it creates on performance and character playing. It lays foundation for a better voice for them, understanding of impact of voice in Acting and Theatre.
These exercises are easy and fun to learn and practise. Kids can choose to do the exercises alone or with their family or with other kids online.
Face is the essence of an Actor's performance because that's where our eyes go, right?!
How about creating specialised exercises for our face to emote the best of our feelings?! This is where kids learn to divide their face into various sections and work on face muscles to get the most authentic expression? We will show you how. This section includes fun exercises, lot of chewing like a cow and making different faces. Come explore and have fun!
Lion Roar as the name suggests shows how can you enhance your physical aspect of Theatre with just one roar!
This exercise is a combination of breathing, voice and face exercises which helps the students to learn focus, clarity and power of expression with a tinge of meditation for kids.
*Parental help is recommended in this section.
Ever thought about Storytelling through painting? This is what kids love to do the most where we share few paintings with them and they go ahead to observe the story painting is trying to tell them. They learn to read the painting, learn the rhythm of painting and go ahead with creating a story.

Theatre is a combination of various art forms and in this section we introduce them to music, similarly as we introduced them to Painting in the previous section. Here, we play different music and help them to spontaneously move themselves on that music. These spontaneous movements play a great role for expressing themselves as artists.
There are times all the props are not available during auditions or performances. This is the time we need to mime and miming needs to look absolutely real. So, students will learn the basics of Miming and start putting them in action in their current life to make their performance real and impactful.
Detailing becomes the most important element in any performance worldwide. Detailing of characterisation, emotion performed, costumes, body language and even holding a glass of water - Detailing is everything for a great performance and this is what students learn in this session.
Imagination is one of the most powerful tool an actor can use in his performance. There are times we have references of character around us in our life but not always, hence imagination comes into play while playing various situations one may not have encountered.
I take the student through an imagination activity giving them an idea of doing this exercise on their own. Parents can surely jump in and play with their child with imagination activity.
We watch movies and animation like always. Now, imagine if there were no dialogues there and you need to fill in your own dialogues there and become a spontaneous actor. This is a fun theatre exercise which could be done alone for monologues and with people for dialogues. Go ahead, take your chance and have fun with spontaneity.
We are surrounded with people - family, neighbours, friends, characters on screen and more. An actor's journey starts with observing and studying people, reading them and by imitating them. This is just the start of acting and brings in a lot of fun. Make a list of 5 people around you, read them and see how they talk, how they walk, how they emote and then go on to imitate them as an actor.
