  • Foam roller is optional for self care of tight muscles.
  • You will need one partner and 2 in some cases when a spot is required.

Description

This course will take you from beginner to intermediate by completion. Completion time will vary student to student but regular practise will take you a long way! The course includes partner warm ups that will warm you up quickly and effectively before you start your practice as well as get you used to working with your partner. You will learn the alignment and techniques that are necessary to perform poses properly as well as build a strong foundation for you to progress to the next level. You will also learn how to practise safely, how to spot and some of the therapeutic techniques that are important in taking care of yourself and your partner.

The course includes video tutorials, where you can watch the entry into the poses and transitions from pose to pose in slow motion - as well as regular speed - with a step by step guide for the base and flyer. There are also checklists for a quick reference to alignment when you need it.

While taking this course you will learn more than just how to do the poses. It teaches trust, communication, patience, and builds deeper connections through touch and non-verbal communication. The course may be challenging at times but you are guaranteed to have many laughs and A LOT of fun.

So get a group of friends together and get ready to have some good ol' sober fun!

Who this course is for:

  • This acroyoga for beginners course is meant for physically active people who want to learn a new fun skill. You do not have to be super strong or flexible as this course will help you to build on those areas. Previous yoga experience recommended.
  • I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone with any serious injuries or issues with being upside down.
