Description

Our Death Doula course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to support individuals and their families through the end-of-life process. As Death Doulas, students will learn how to provide emotional, spiritual and practical support to individuals facing their own mortality or that of a loved one, including but not limited to night vigils, writing letters on the dying individual's behalf, and self care.


Throughout the course, students will explore various topics related to death and dying, including grief and bereavement, cultural perspectives on death, communication skills, and end-of-life care options. They will also learn how to assist individuals in creating meaningful and personalized end-of-life plans, including advance directives and funeral arrangements.


They will learn how to establish compassionate and trusting relationships with clients, navigate challenging conversations and provide comfort and guidance during the dying process.
