Course Methodology:
The course will be conducted over ten weeks, each module spanning two hours of online training session. The training will be delivered through a mixture of lectures, interactive activities, group discussions, and case studies. Participants will also be given reading and reflective exercises between sessions. The course will be open for mental health professionals, including counselors, therapists, psychologists, and social workers. If you have the thirst for more knowledge and love learning, then this is the course for you. There are no authorities in ACT and no official qualifications to avoid hierarchy systems, however you will gain a certificate of completion by Champion's Mindset on completion.
Taking the Introduction to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) course will provide mental health professionals with theoretical and practical knowledge of the ACT model, core processes, clinical applications, and use of mindfulness. Participants will learn valuable skills to incorporate this effective modality into their practice to enhance the outcomes of their clients.
Assessment:
Participants will be evaluated by a reflective journal submission, focusing on a self-reflection of how they plan to incorporate ACT in their practice. A course completion certificate will be issued to those who attend all sessions and complete the reflective journal.

About Me
My name is Stephen Renwick and I am a sport psychology professional and Director of champion's Mindset based in Stockport, Greater Manchester. I graduated with a BSc (Hons) Psychology from The Open University and a MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology from Staffordshire University and completed three years supervised practice via BASES to become an Accredited sport and Exercise Scientist (Psychology). I have experience working in all sport to elite levels. My philosophy is a humanistic approach using ACT. I work with some of the best athletes in the world, from a range of sports including Giants Live Strongman competitors.
