In this course, we will focus mainly on how to accelerate sustainable development in business. We will explore not only why this is important for our society and the environment but will also dive deep into why it matters for your business. In the next lesson, we will start with the terminology around Sustainability. In the world of sustainable development, the term climate is often mentioned, but hardly ever explained. If you want to get a good grip on this term you can hop over to the additional sources and read the article we wrote on the difference between the weather, the climate and human-caused climate change.

  • What even is Sustainability?4:20

The three P’s, People, Planet and Prosperity were introduced as Tripple Bottom Line by John Elkington. Since then he recalled them because they often are understood and applied incorrectly. In the additional article in the sources, you can dive deeper into the meaning purpose of the 3p’s.

    Things you can do today

Calculate Footprint: Calculate your footprint via for example climate hero,
the interesting thing about their carbon calculator is that it shows you a list of areas of improvement which you. can use to reduce your footprint.

Climate Buddy: Sometimes we can get stuck in our own ways, ideas or beliefs. We like the idea of climate buddies, a person or group of people who you are comfortable talking to and who can help each other out, by sharing best practices or challenging current ways of living.
