In this short Video Tutorial you'll learn an easy way I've found to get beveled edges on the Stretcher Bars.

You'll learn the proper way to cut your bars and get everything put together.

In this video lecture I'll introduce you to one of many strategies for creating a large abstract painting. You'll learn about Cruciform Design and how to paint on Unstretched Canvas.

Then review Lecture 5 where I show you How To put it on Stretcher Bars.

Create your stretcher bars whichever way you prefer keeping in mind you'll need more braces for this larger canvas. One brace for every 2 feet is the rule. It will also cost a bit more for the materials to assemble and paint this larger piece, maybe twice as much, but you'll also end up with a much more valuable painting when you're through.
