ABRSM Grade 2 online Music Theory Practice Test
Description
In this practice test, there will be three Mock Exam Papers for you to practice, to get ready for the Grade 2 Online Music Theory Exam.
Hello, I'm RL, and I have many years of experience preparing students for the ABRSM piano practical, piano performance grades, and music theory exam. This set of practice papers are created by me to mimic the format and standard of the Grade 2 Online Music Theory exams. Get the extra practice you'll get nowhere else!
Each practice test is just like the actual exam, there are 75 questions from 7 sections:
- Rhythm (15 marks)
- Pitch (15 marks)
- Keys and Scales (15 marks)
- Intervals (10 marks)
- Chords (10 marks)
- Terms and signs (5 marks)
- Music in context (5 marks)
Each practice paper is timed - you have 1.5 hours (90 minutes) to complete them, just like the actual Grade 2 ABRSM Online Music Theory exam.
To pass, you'll need to get 50 out of 75 marks (or 67%). For a merit, you'll need to score between 60 to 64. To get a distinction, you'll need a score of 65 or more.
The practice papers are automatically marked, so you'll get your score and a full analysis of the questions you have answered correctly and incorrectly once you finish the paper.
Who this course is for:
- Students who want more online practice for the ABRSM Online Music Theory exam Grade 2
- Anyone who wants to try 3 practice papers on music theory
Instructor
Hi! I am RL!
I have been an engineer by training, and have worked as an engineer for more than a decade. I specialize in Chemical Engineering and worked in various related industries for more than a decade. I love engineering, as it's the technology behind building things.
In addition to being an engineer, I'm also a serial academic content creator. Back in school, I love all the subjects I took. I got straight As for my A Levels. I also obtained a First Class Honors in my Engineering degree. I'll like to share my love for these subjects, and have created and conducted hundreds of lessons for students to help them with their academic exams for more than 2 decades.
Academic subjects and engineering aside, I also have an all- time favorite pastime - playing the piano and listening to classical music. When I started learning piano, it was basically playing others' pieces, but as I grow, I started to rearrange pieces to my liking, and even create some of my own.
I teach a variety of courses ranging from engineering, to academics to music - all of which I have decades of experience in.
