Saatviga Sudhahar is a Researcher in the Department of Computer Science, University of Bristol, United Kingdom. She has wide interests in research areas including Data Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Machine Translation, Probabilistic Reasoning and interdisciplinary research such as Computational Social Science and Digital Humanities. She has worked extensively in the areas of Large scale news content analysis, Natural language generation, Information extraction, Machine Translation using statistical and recurrent neural network models and Language modelling. She has also worked on scalable online preference learning modules that learn adaptively using machine learning techniques.
Saatviga completed her PhD in Bristol titled 'Automating Large scale analysis of narrative text using network analysis methods'. Before coming to Bristol she was a member of the academic staff in University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka where she completed BSc (Hons) in Information and communication technology.
