Want to capture, store and display information dynamically on your website or application? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then this course is for you!
This course will teach you how to use Wix Content Manager. Using a CMS like Wix Content Manager lets you efficiently create and store content, connect your content to various elements in the Editor to display it on your site, receive form submissions, eliminate the need to duplicate pages and much more.
As the course name implies, this is a no-code course, meaning we will teach you how to essentially work with data on your website or application without the need for code.
Concepts covered in this course:
Managing your content separately from your design, so you can make content updates quickly and easily — no need to duplicate pages
Collections/datasets, fields and field types (i.e. how data is stored)
Populating collections manually, via import and via form (i.e. ways to get data)
Display collection data in repeaters and dynamic pages (i.e. ways of displaying data)
Improving your SEO with dynamic pages (i.e. getting data indexed and found on Google)
Filtering, sorting and pagination of repeater data (i.e. data management)
Preview vs. Live mode (i.e. for testing before committing changes)
Setting user roles and permissions for safe collaboration (i.e. control access to your data)
Member-generated and member-managed content (i.e. data ownership)
This course is suitable for absolute beginners.
During the course, all learning exercises will be done via a designated Wix template. To access it, go to the Resources section of the course and click on the template link. Make sure to open it before the course begins.
