Here are examples of vocals from a couple of my students!
Hello, my name is Mat and it's great to have you here! In this short video I will introduce you to the program of the course!
If you want to learn more about my background as a vocalist and teacher, here are few words about me:
My name is Mateusz Sibila, I have been practicing singing and screamingce since 2012, and since 2016 I have been teaching and helping people around the world master the extreme vocal techniques such as fry scream, false cord growl and scream, gutturals, yell scream, kargyraa throat singing and singing with distortion in my one on one lessons.
Since 2017 I have run a YouTube channel – Sibila Extreme Vocal, where I share simple methods and exercises of how to safely learn and develop vocals, especially screaming techniques. Beside YouTube and individual lessons with my students, I am also a vocalist in my band Imperial Sin (previously in another band - Vishurddha) and I was involved in various projects and bands as a session vocalist (Mardom, Soulcarrion, Lyktgubbe, Moonthoth, Algol, Athvarf, p53 (the craziest tech death you can ever hear), ZØRZA, and more).
Outside of these projects I also put on vocal workshops around Poland, for example-in the Konador singing school in Warsaw (Nergal from Behemoth took singing lessons there and many other polish stars). In 2017 I was hired by the Teatr Polski w Poznaiu (Polish Theatre in Poznan – the oldest Polish theatre active since 1875) for teaching a group of professional actors how to growl, scream and use distortion safely for the purpose of a theatrical play entitled "K". Those who decided to rehearse with me learned basic screams and growls in less than 30 days and they performed very well during the show's premiere and they were totally comfortable with making extreme noises for the extent of the play's run. Those who decide not to continue rehersal with me did not perform as well and I could see pain and discomfort on their faces during the play and rehearsals. There is footage from a practice with one of the actors on my You Tube channel if your'e interested to watch.
In 2019 I gathered the most important information, the most helpful and effective exercises, tested them with my students and after a couple months of work I've created my second vocal course – the Ultimate Extreme Vocals Course – a step by step guide through the world of extreme vocals, both for beginners and more advanced vocalists wanting to improve their vocal technique.
In 2021 I wrote my first ebook - "5 Awful Mistakes Killing Your Fry Scream And How To Fix Them" which was released along a vocal course with the same title.
In 2022 (after 1,5 year of work), I published my first extreme vocal course and an e-book in Polish, which were the first officially published materials on this topic in Poland.
I cannot express how much I have learned during this time, how many new exercises and training methods I have created, and how much I have improved my skills as a vocalist and teacher since then - everything has gone to a higher level and has become several times better.
That's why I decided it's time to create a new course in English and I hope it will help you unleash your inner beast!
