Many people seek to step out on the spiritual path. That is a noble quest.
Some give up the quest. Some think they find the way but are misguided after finding a path that is something other than the true spiritual path, at least in the Christian sense. A few find the true mystic Christians highway.
Most of seeker's problems in entering the Christian Spiritual way is that they have no connection with their beginnings or a misunderstanding of their beginnings. They are not working out from their beginnings but are working out from their raisings, as we might say in Texas. We have a saying "Don't get above your raisings". What is seen here is that there are times that you need to go beyond your raisings. Stop being one that knows what you are "supposed" to know and miss seeing the deeper truths that are just over the horizon of their official or unofficial discipline.
What we are saying is that there are places near the spiritual way which some occupy and from that homestead it may be truly said that "you can't get there from hear". From there there is no access lane. You must be brave enough to leave your presuppositional country, when appropriate, and start over.
You must go back to the beginning to access the spiritual highway. It is in the beginning that you can know and reevaluate the beginning . It is there on one level that you can become in the new surrender like a little child and enter the spiritual kingdom of heaven, which is the spiritual journey, the mystic highway.
In this course we will explore some of the beginnings that are involved in the spiritual life. We will in effect as the poet said be going back to the beginning and then seeing it for the first time.

Dr. Bill in San Antonio, TX, holds six degrees in religious studies including a Ph.D. and a Th.D. He holds several other certificates and certifications. He has been what some call a professional student.
Raised mostly in rural south and south-central Texas, he is equally at ease on the ranch, in the woods, in meditation, or metaphysical pursuits.
He was the author of two books now out of print and several that he has not pushed for publication. He has written numerous articles in pier review journals during his time in traditional ministry.
He was invited to be on the translation committee for a modern Bible translation but declined, for philosophic differences over translation presuppositions.
His studies in comparative religions led him into an in depth study of metaphysics.
He has a knack for noticing overlapping principles in different systems. It occurred to him that when things keep showing up in many religions that these maybe the secret truth past down from our ancient past that are applicable to us today.
As in folk lore Odin hung from the tree upside down and after nine days, came to know the secret runes. Today Dr. Bill strives to look at repeating truths in a different way. He is willing as needed to take the time to see the secrets that are ready to be opened from different directional considerations.
Dr. Bill was a traditional minister for 25 years, filling pulpits two times a week and teaching many classes.
Now he has centered his work on the metaphysical of spirituality.
