The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2016 certification exams, which include the 77-727 (Microsoft Excel 2016) exam, are scheduled to retire on June 30, 2026.
Key details regarding this retirement:
Availability: After June 30, 2026, the 77-727 exam will no longer be available for testing.
Replacement: Candidates are advised to transition to the Microsoft Office 2019 (MO-200) or Microsoft 365 Apps (MO-210) certification exams.
Context: This is part of a broader retirement of the MOS 2016 suite by Microsoft and Certiport.
It is highly recommended to complete this certification before this date if you are currently preparing for it.
