PMP certification needs to be renewed every 3 years. To be eligible for renewal, every certificate holder needs to earn 60 PDUs. PDU stands for Professional Development Unit and 1 hr of time invested in learning is equal to 1 PDU. PMI mandates that the learning's have to be in one of the 3 Knowledge areas, which are Power Skills, Ways of Working and Business acumen.
