Description

LTE Advanced (LTE-A) is the evolution of LTE Technology. LTE - A incorporates new features like Carrier Aggregation (CA,) enhanced use of multi-antenna techniques, and support for Relay Nodes to increase the bandwidth speed and stability of LTE networks and connections.

LTE Advanced Pro (LTE-A Pro, also known as 4.5G, 4.5G Pro, 4.9G, Pre-5G, 5G Project) is the next evolution of LTE Advanced (LTE-A) based on specifications in 3GPP release 13 and 14. LTE-A Pro supports data rates in excess of 3 Gbit/s using 32-carrier aggregation and works on  the concept of License Assisted Access, which allows sharing of licensed and unlicensed spectrum.
