Follow a practice-based approach to learn 3ds Max essentials, covering interface, navigation, object creation, snapping, and lighting, with project folders and windows and doors.
In this lecture we will study about the user interface of 3ds Studio Max
In this lecture we will study about Viewport Navigation.
In this lecture we will study about Creating and Modifying objects.
In this lecture we will study about creating objects in 3ds studio max.
Learn to transform objects in 3ds Max by creating a box, moving along the x, y, and z axes, and using select and rotate and uniform or non-uniform scale.
Adjust pivot points in 3ds Max by moving the pivot to a new location via the hierarchy panel, then rotate or move objects around that axis.
Explore duplicating objects in 3ds Max by using copy, instance, and reference options, learn when to make unique, and create one-dimensional and two-dimensional arrays to duplicate objects.
Learn how to set up units of measurement in 3ds Max by adjusting system unit setup, choosing metric units, and defining one unit as one centimeter.
Learn how to snap objects in 3ds Max, using 2.5D plane snapping and 3D mapping to align objects to planes and vertices.
Create a dedicated project folder on the desktop and set it as the default in 3ds Max; import an AutoCAD file, adjust units and rescale, and group the imported geometry.
Create a YouTube staircase in 3ds Max by drawing the steps in top view with snapping, adjusting height, width, and wall contact, and refining with wireframe view and viewport checks.
Attach doors to your model's third floor in 3ds Max using vertex snapping, set doors to six by three feet, and adjust hinges and swing for a centered entry.
Explore the 3ds Max 2022 interface, learning how to toggle the welcome screen and set up the default workspace with the command panel and toolbars. Adjust and save workspace preferences.
Set up 3ds Max preferences by adjusting the default level (200 or 20 if memory is limited), enable relative file names, and select the nitrous display driver.
Create a desktop folder for the 3ds Max project, set it as the default in the toolbar, and let Max auto-create the required subfolders.
This is a basic course in 3D Studio Max. It does not expect any engineering background. Person from any discipline can pick up on this course. You will learn all about the interface, its shortcuts and gain an excellent grounding in the core functionality of 3d modeling helping you to build as the course goes on. You will create your first 3d models and learn how to add detail to your creations. The course begins from basics of 3d studio - covering all the commands and gradually takes you into 3d mode. Just follow all the lectures in the order specified. Remember I am just a query away from you. If you have any difficulty then please interact with me in the Question and Answer Section.
By the end of this course, you would be able to import an entire 2d House Plan into 3d Studio, elevate it and visualize it in a 3d format.
In this course we do not cover vray or corona. We will be covering that in another course, the pre-requiste for that course is this course.
We expect you to make the most out of this course.
This course is perfect for game art beginners or those wanting to learn the foundations of 3d modelling
