Meet your teacher!
In order to make it look like a character is walking, we'll need to create a scrolling layout for your character to "walk along." We will do this in Ps by connecting a number of repeatable background images in a horizontal fashion on a custom widescale canvas. At the end of this lecture you will know how to create a scrolling background in Ps to use in Pr behind your walking character!
In this lecture we will draw the 10 steps in a walk cycle, and discuss the necessary steps to take in between each drawing to effectively draw each step in a timely manner, as well as discuss the proper way to photograph reference images for your walk cycle. At the end of this lecture you will understand how to take a set of reference images and turn them into 2D walk cycle path elements!
In this lecture, we will cover how to take your newly created walk cycle elements from Ps and sequence them into a walk cycle video in Pr! At the end of this lecture you will know how to effectively sequence a walk cycle in Premiere Pro!
This lecture will cover drawing your rotation elements within Ps. At the end of this lecture you will know how to replicate / draw each position of a rotation rig, and you'll have examples of reference shots taken for each layer!
In this lecture we will cover the most economical way to colorize your rotation rig elements in a timely manner. At the end of this lecture you will understand how to colorize your rotation rig!
In this lecture we will sequence our created rotation rig elements in Premiere Pro
In this course you will learn how to make cartoons walk and rotate in a precise and authentic way. You'll learn how to effectively take good reference shots, and accurately replicate body movement and angle changes from reference shots. Upon completion, you'll have your own professional level walk cycle rig to be used with many characters within your animations, and the knowledge to make walk cycles and rotation movements for any character or object you incorporate into your cartoons!
