    Welcome to the 16th day of our 21-day yoga challenge! Our practice for today is Yin Yoga. Yin yoga is slow-paced yoga where we hold the poses for a slightly longer time and it's an opportunity for us to relax, turn inward, and allow ourselves to be still for a few moments. Yin is a type of yoga that targets the deep muscle tissues of the body called fascia where trigger points (or knots) can form when you’re stressed. The deep stretches in yin work to release pain and tension in the fascia by holding passive postures for an extended period of time, allowing the fascia to soften and release. Because they work deep into the muscle, yin postures can feel intense. Breathe through it. If you ever feel sharp pain, come out of the pose. We will hold the poses for 1-3 minutes The first few times you practice yin poses, you may periodically feel a bit restless. Just come back to your breath and focus on surrendering to the moment. As you become more experienced with these poses, you can practice holding them longer.

The countdown has begun. Okay !! talking about today's practice our theme for today's session is "Yoga for Transition". When we talk about on the mat transitions, moving slowly in transitions from one pose to another & is more demanding mentally & physically than moving in momentum. For example, when you move from Parsvakonasana (Side Angle Pose) to Virabhadrasana II (Warrior Pose II), moving slowly will give you an opportunity to create strength and integrity in your body than rushing into poses. This will eventually help you create awareness that will serve you on the mat & off the mat. Talking about off the mat, you would be going through a transition in making Yoga your lifestyle post this challenge finishes, take the transition phase slowly and don't stress about your practice every day, Enjoy the Journey, and don't worry too much about the final destination.
