In this section, we will be exploring the implications of the release and widespread use of ChatGPT, a large language model developed by OpenAI. ChatGPT has garnered significant public attention due to its ability to provide quick, ready-to-use answers for a vast array of contexts. However, the potential of large language models, while exciting, also presents significant risks to fundamental rights and cybersecurity. Criminals and bad actors may seek to exploit these models for their nefarious purposes. This section is based on the Europol report "The Impact of Large Language Models on Law Enforcement," which examined how ChatGPT can be abused by criminals and how it can assist investigators in their daily work. In this overview, we will briefly explore the report's findings and its recommendations on how to prepare for the impact of large language models.
