2018 IRC Building Inspector (Practice Exams)

This course is designed to prepare you to successfully pass the IRC Residential Building Inspector Certification. The Course consists of 4 practice test that are intended to best emulate the ICC exam. Each test will be timed for 2 hours and consist of 60 multiple choice questions. The questions will align with the categories and percentages that are stated on the ICC website. The ICC exam requires a 75% score to pass the exam, it is recommended to complete each of the four practice test with a average score of 85% to ensure confidence when taking the ICC administered exam. All exams are open book and all answers to the questions will only come from the 2018 International Residential Code.

As described on the ICC website upon completion of this course as well as successfully passing the ICC exam you will be qualified as follows:

A Residential Building Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections of structures to determine compliance with the various Building Codes and Standards adopted by their jurisdiction. At this level of certification, the Inspector shall be able to inspect one-and-two family dwellings, townhomes not more than three stories in height, and accessory structures.
