Description

"The correct seat is the basic prerequisite for the applications of all aids," and, "Horses go as they are ridden," said Major Anders Lindgren.

Equip yourself with the ultimate natural instrument to transform your riding and communication with your horse: your SEAT. After all, this is the foundation of all great horsemanship.

The rider’s seat—your body—is the instrument through which all communication with the horse is carried out. This information, the language of equitation, is transmitted through the Natural Aids. Your seat is the signal sender, and the horse, the receiver and executor, responds to these signals. This is the essence of great riding and an independent, educated, and transmissive seat.

Horses truly go as they are ridden.

This course gives you timeless equestrian principles that can be practically achieved. It delves into the development of an independent seat—the key requirement passed down through equestrian history. An independent seat provides:

  1. Comfort and security for both horse and rider.

  2. Seamless communication between them.

The construction of an independent seat requires specific body alignment, placement, and 'tone' (distinct from core strength). This foundational seat applies across all disciplines—whether dressage, jumping, working equines, or law enforcement. Adaptations such as the half-seat, galloping position, and jumping position derive directly from this basis. Without a well-formed independent seat, even the most advanced adaptations fall short—no matter how convincing the 'seat doctors' and quick-fix experts may seem.

In today’s market, countless gimmicks, fads, and quick-fix solutions flood the equestrian world. True seat mastery is developed through forward, straight, and uphill riding. This course equips riders and trainers with the essential features needed for a truly effective seat.

After all, there are only two ways to ride: the right way and the wrong way. Which way do you want to ride?

"Don't just do something, sit there." ;)
