Description

What is self-care and why is it so important?

Hi, my name is Agnes and I’m an artist and author living in France.

Do you also find it difficult sometimes to make sense of the whirl of emotions in your head? I do.

Or do you feel anxious, wishing you could better cope with the stress of daily life?  I know I do.

Self-care means taking care of ourselves, so that we can be healthy, physically and emotionally.

And for me, art brings me a sense of peace and calm. Expressing my feelings and emotions through doodles helps to center me, which brings things into perspective. And voila, that’s part of self-care.

It’s similar to the clarity I get through journaling, but it lights me up when I look over my past doodles and see the progress I’ve made.

And you don’t need to be an artist. Doodles can be messy, lines going up and down all over the page. Kind of like, life’s ups and downs? So I love combing art with self-care.

Would you like to give this a try? If so, I’ve created this course of “10 Days of Self-care Doodling” to get you started. Self-care is not being selfish. It’s taking care of our well-being. And it’s well worth the time. Look, I have filled 3 books so far and I’m still continuing, I enjoy it so much. I hope you can join along.
