The founder of The Law Guide UK is Mrs Maxine Johnson LL.B hons.

Maxine qualified as a solicitor in 2004. She spent the early part of her career advising on matrimonial and financial disputes for high net worth individuals before moving to a niche city firm where she focused on complex contract, negligence and business disputes. She also underwrote, analysed risk and product availability for high profile commercial litigation matters.

Maxine acted in-house at the Treasury Solicitor (now the Government Legal Department) dealing with inquests, breach of duty and deaths in custody. Occupiers and Public liability claims, Industrial claims/faulty products, accidents at Work and false Imprisonment.

Maxine worked at a boutique City firm and a Legal 500/Chambers rated firm specialising in contract disputes, banking litigation, building/construction disputes, property, equestrian and professional negligence disputes.

Maxine currently practises as a Senior Consultant Solicitor for City Law Firms.

In addition to practising law, Maxine writes articles and blogs.  She also provides content for The Law Guide UK’s youtube channel.
